Q: What are the advantages to using a staffing agency vs. hiring on my own?
A:  Staffing agencies provide an opportunity for businesses to outsource various areas of their Human Resource Functions.  Employment Options is responsible for the marketing duties, interviewing, reference and background checks, as well as cover all unemployment, Workman's compensation and employment tax responsibilities related to adding members to your workforce.

Q: Will my company be required to provide benefits for temporary and contract employees?
A:  No.  Temporary and contract employees are solely under the employ of Employment Options Inc.  They are not eligible for benefit plans under the company with which they are placed.  If the employee is hired by your company then you would follow your standard company procedure regarding benefit disbursement.
Q: Is my company required by law to complete I-9 forms and verify employment eligibility of temporary and contract Employees?
A: No.  Under the Immigration Reform and Control Act, it is the staffing firm's responsibility to verify the employment status and complete I-9 forms for temporary and contract employees and for maintaining records relating to this requirement.
Q: Will my company be required to record workplace injuries and illnesses of any temporary or contract employees placed by Employment Options, Inc.?
A:  Yes.  Under the rules of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), your company is required to maintain records of work-related injuries and illnesses for temporary and contract employees if your company supervises those employees on your premises, which is generally the case.  However, Workman's Compensation claims are covered by Employment Options Inc.  Therefore injuries for temporary or contract employees should be logged on a separate OSHA log so that they are not inadvertently submitted to your Insurance.
Q: How much involvement can our company have in deciding which temporary employees are placed with our company.
A:  Our Account Executives will tailor a service plan to meet the needs that suit your comfort level.  Your company can chose to be as involved in the process as you choose.
